Trust Issues in Your Organization?

May 22, 20261 min read

"Consistency is the currency of trust.”

Most “trust issues” in a company are not about loyalty. They’re about patterns.

People trust you when what you say and what you do line up over time.

You trust them for the same reason.

Try this for a week: 1 promise, 1 follow-through.

Tell your team: “By Friday, I will [do X] so you can do your job better.”

Example: “I’ll clarify your Key Performance Indicators and send them in writing.”

Put it on the calendar. Do it.

Then say, “I told you I’d do this by Friday. Here it is.”

You just made a trust deposit.

Repeat that enough times and your team will start believing you mean what you say.

Next steps:

  • Have your leaders do the exact same exercise back to you and the team.

  • Each leader makes one clear promise, puts a date on it, and follows through.

  • Now everyone is building trust in the same visible way.

Earn more trust,
